Every day, Texas Prisons Community Advocates (TPCA) hears from incarcerated individuals and concerned family members about the conditions inside Texas prisons. Their stories reveal a system where extreme temperatures, unsafe drinking water, inadequate nutrition, substandard medical care, and prolonged solitary confinement put lives at risk.

These are not isolated incidents, they are well-documented problems that have been allowed to persist for far too long.

We believe every human being deserves safe, humane conditions in which to live and work. Through our campaigns, we educate the public, advocate for meaningful reform, and amplify the voices of those directly impacted.
